Controcorrente 2022 - Vaira Aurelj

Controcorrente 2022 Vaira Aurelj is a fantastic red wine from Piedmont, made with 100% Nebbiolo grapes of the Rosé clone. The vineyards are over 23 years old and grow on calcareous clay soil. After careful manual harvesting, the grapes are partially crushed with stalks to create a unique flavor profile, which varies from vintage to vintage. The result is a mid-structured wine with notes of wild cherry, rosehip and warm spice, wrapped in firm tannins and a long crunchy finish.

Controcorrente is a red wine that embodies the philosophy of its creators - two brothers who believe in making wine that is a direct reflection of the work done in the vineyard.
