Nebbiolo d'Alba 2022 DOC - Giacomo Fenocchio

Nebbiolo d'Alba form Giacomo Fenocchio has the temperament and finesse of this producer's other great wines. Made with grapes harvested from across 2 hectares, the vineyard is situated in a hilly area that faces east, at an altitude of about 300 meters above sea level; the Helvetian soil is a mixture of clay sediments, blue marlstone, and tuff. The average age of the plants is around 15 years. The grapes are harvested in mid-October and are then processed traditionally; the grapes are fermented in contact with the skins, without added yeasts, for about 10 days in stainless steel tanks. The refinement lasts for six months in stainless steel tanks, six months in large Slavonian oak barrels and finally in the bottle.
