Trimpilin IGT 2018 - Selvagrossa
Trimpilin IGT 2018 - Selvagrossa
Trimpilin is an organic wine made by Sangiovese from estate fruit in the hills just outside Pesaro on Italy’s Adriatic coast.
The average elevation of the vineyards is 150 meters above sea level.
The half hectare vineyard of limestone sand and clay was planted in the 1970s by Alberto's Taddei grandfather.
Grapes are manually harvested by Taddei's family and then processed in their own cellar. Primary fermentation starts in small stainless steel tanks with no temperature control but never goes over 28 degrees celsius. Punch down. Maceration and malolactic in used French barrique.
This wine is bright, direct and centred to the palate. Notes of red sour fruits with mediterranean herbal notes.
